Turbina de Ventos Compacta da Optiwind
As turbinas de ventos tradicionais foram criadas para locais com muito espaço e ventos de sobra, mas a Optiwind tem a solução para locais onde só bate uma leve brisa. A Optiwind Compact Wind Accelerating Turbine tem cinco lâminas que capturam, direcionam e aceleram a força dos ventos para conseguir mais energia, e ainda por cima ocupam muito menos espaço, com apenas 6 metros de diâmetro, contra até 80 metros das turbinas convencionais.
A Optiwind oferece dois modelos, um com 150 kilowatt que foi criado para prédios que gastem até US$ 35 mil de energia elétrica por ano, e o de 300 kilowatt , para prédios que gastem mais de US$ 75 mil por ano. As turbinas da Optiwind também são muito mais silenciosas do que as turbinas de vento tradicionais.

I think you may want to know that Optiwind tried to get one of these windmills (Its first one) built in Goshen, CT.
They put the residents through six months of agony before the Planning and Zoning Board declined to give them a construction permit. Voting 5 to 0 to deny their application.
The reason given for the denile was that the design was judged to adversly impact the value of property values and, because none of these has ever been built, it was felt there was no way to assess its impact on the environment.
Overall the residents thought that this design was inappropriate to their neighborhood, and thought it was extremely ugly and would spoil the viewscape.
Thought you should be aware of this before you get involved with these guys.
